We always respect individuals’ needs and requirements, and making sure our patients feel comfortable is our top priority. If you feel you would like to have a chaperone present during your doctor’s appointment, please let us know when you make your request.
If you are unable to attend your nurse or doctor appointment, please let us know as soon as you are aware so that we can reschedule your appointment and let another person take your slot. You can do this by calling the surgery reception on 0161 368 3312.
Make sure you have your phone with the registered number switched on and with you so we can contact you about any changes to your appointment or to reschedule.
We aim to offer more than 1000 Clinician appointments weekly as well as Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments, but as you understand this may not always be possible due to holidays/sickness. We will always see medically urgent patients on the same day.
In a number of cases, it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse or nurse practitioner rather than a doctor. They are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
If you require an appointment after 6pm and before 8pm Monday to Friday we can offer you pre-bookable appointments at either Thornley Medical Centre, Glossop, and Ashton Primary Care Centre.
We also provide weekend and evening appointments to improve accessibility for our patients. Patients who are registered at this practice can book an appointment to see a GP or nurse at the above destinations.
