Our Medical Clinics

Anticoagulant Clinic

Anticoagulants are medicines that help prevent blood clots. These health clinics provide specialised care for patients who suffer from blood clots or are taking oral anticoagulant medication to prevent blood clots.

Antenatal Clinic

Appointments at an Antenatal clinic should be made if you think you are pregnant or are around 6-8 weeks pregnant. A midwife or doctor will provide antenatal care by checking the health of you and your baby and discussing options regarding birth.

Asthma Clinic

Asthma clinics will confirm your diagnosis of asthma and diagnose the type you have. If you already suffer from asthma, the clinic will identify the best treatment as well as see if your symptoms are caused by other medical conditions and what can make your asthma worse or better.

Child Health Surveillance

Child Health Surveillance will schedule visits by a paediatrician to diagnose any underlying health conditions and prevent any diseases from an early age. They will assess your child through adolescence.

Child Immunisation

Child immunisations will be given to help fight diseases. Vaccines will be given at certain months or years, this includes the MMR, PCV, MenB and flu vaccines.

COPD Clinic

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), is a condition that affects the lungs. At a COPD clinic, you will have a Spirometry test which assesses your breathing. A COPD clinic will also be able to provide treatment options and prescribe inhalers to help with your condition.

Diabetes Clinic

If you are diabetic, a diabetes clinic will be able to monitor your glucose levels and give you specialised advice and treatment to manage your diabetes.

Maternity

Maternity services include free clinics that provide antenatal care and guide you through a healthy pregnancy. Some help includes recommending exercises and diet changes as well as discussing labour plans.

Cryosurgery

Cryotherapy is a method of freezing which uses a substance called liquid nitrogen. A carefully controlled amount of liquid nitrogen is applied to an affected area of skin. This has the effect of freezing the targeted cells and destroying the lesion. Cryotherapy can be used for a number of different skin conditions, such as warts and verrucas; seborrhoeic warts; sun damage (solar keratoses); and small fleshy growths.

Contraceptive Services – Free Clinic

Contraceptive services are always free of charge and often involve methods such as birth control pills, IUDs or the coil, emergency contraception and vaginal rings. Take a look at our family planning services.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgery procedures are performed on superficial skin tissue, usually under local anaesthesia and using minimal equipment. These procedures can be performed safely and quickly with few or no complications, and while the patient is conscious throughout the procedure.

Well Man/Woman Medical Clinic

Well man/woman clinics offer tests and services to diagnose diseases and provide you with an overall analysis of your health. Well man/woman clinic services include STD testing, smear tests, fertility checks, general health checkups, breast screening and prostate screening.
